The Primero forwarder trailer is a useful addition to the active woodlot owner's arsenal of log- ging machinery.It is a true forestry trailer with a square central frame.The stake frames can be moved up and down the central frame to meet the needs of the user.The bogie axle can also be moved to a preferred location on the frame.Three stake pairs are standard on the trailer, extra stake pairs can be added if needed.Another useful feature is the hydraulic steering from the trailer tongue.This feature enables sideshift of the trailer "on the run".The operator can make the trailer follow in the same tracks as the tractor,reducing the need for wide trails and reducing damage to the residual stand.The side-shift also extends the reach of the loader be- cause the sideshift can be used to move the loader out for more reach.The trailer has a flota- tion bogie with 14 ply rating floatation forest tires.The large 15 3/4"wide tires keep compac- tion of the ground and damage to the roots of the residual stand to a minimum.The loader has several features usually found only in loaders built for professional use.The powerful four cylin- der rack and pinion turning mechanism provides 6490 foot pounds of torque.Loading in uneven ground is therefore not a problem for the Primero.The hydraulic outrigger legs contribute to good balance also in uneven terrain.The loader has a full 360 degrees of rotation.The life of the hydraulic hoses is extended by the spiral hose protections.The base machine includes the following features:Outrigger legs,two lever joystick valve,head-board screen,three stake frames,hydraulic steering tongue,bypass grapple.
